Discover Your Inner Golfer with Holston Hills Golf Course and Event Center

 Holston Hills Golf Course is an 18 hole championship course built in 1946. The layout features a variety of holes that offer scenic views that will test all of your golfing skills. The Holston River meanders throughout the course and comes into play on several holes. The bunkering is modest but strategic and our well manicured greens will test your putting skills. We hope that the courses beauty and excellent conditions will make your experience a memorable one.

Course Tour

Hole 1

This medium length par 5 plays into the prevailing wind. The fairway slopes from right to left and includes three fairway bunkers. The green slopes from back to front and is guarded by a bunker on the left side.

Distances: 524 / 512 / 434 / 432 

Hole 2

 A short uphill par 4 where shot placement is important. The fairway slopes left to right. Tee shots should favor the left side of the fairway to open up your approach shot to this well guarded green. Do not go long of this relatively flat green.

Distances: 372 / 354 / 275 / 270 

Hole 3

 A short dogleg right that offers the player a chance to cut the corner to shorten the hole. An approach shot from the middle of the fairway plays downhill to a green that is sloped back to front.

Distances: 340 / 324 / 261 / 255 

Hole 4

A well bunkered par 3 that you do not want to go long on. The green slopes back to front.

Distances: 164 / 153 / 138 / 130 

Hole 5

 

A short dogleg left par 4 where position off the tee is key. Before your approach shot, be sure to check the pin position on this unique fifty yard long green.

Distances: 354 / 318 / 301 / 273 

Hole 6

 This uphill par 4 has a narrow fairway that slopes right to left. Position your tee shot on the left side of the fairway for the best approach to the green. This well bunkered green slopes back to front.

Distances: 408 / 351 / 326 / 321 

Hole 7

 The number one handicap hole on the course. The fairway slopes left to right on this long, difficult, uphill par 4. The approach shot plays uphill to a green that slopes back to front.

Distances: 426 / 397 / 360 / 360  

Hole 8

An uphill par 3 that requires a precise iron shot. The green slopes back to front and is protected in the front by two bunkers. You do not want to be long of the green.

Hole 9

 

This unique par 5 plays into the prevailing wind. The tee shot must be accurate because the fairway falls off on both sides. Favor the left side of the fairway on your approach shot. The green slopes back to front.

Distances: 515 / 480 / 466 / 411 

Hole 10

A slight dogleg right par 4 that does not require a driver off the tee. Favor the left side of the fairway for your approach shot that plays downhill an across the Holston River. The green slopes back to front.

Distances: 370 / 354 / 339 / 274 .

Hole 11

A straight forward par 5 that plays in to the prevailing wind. The Holston River runs along the right side of the fairway. Avoid the two bunkers on the right near the green. The left side of the fairway offers the best angle to the green that slopes back to front.

Distances: 506 / 492 / 430 / 395 .

Hole 12

This medium length par 4 plays uphill to a fairway that slopes left to right. Position your tee shot on the left side of the fairway for the best approach to the green. This relatively flat green is protected by a bunker in the front. Do not miss the green to the right.

Hole 13

This difficult par 4 plays downhill on your tee shot. There is out of bounds all the way up the right side of the hole. Bunkers protect the left side of this green that slopes back left to front right.

Distances: 437 / 414 / 360 / 348 

Hole 14

 

This downhill par 3 requires an accurate tee shot. The front of the green is protected by two bunkers. The green slopes severely from back to front. If you miss the green to the left or right, it is a difficult up and down. You do not want to be long of this green.

Hole 15

This dogleg right par 4 plays in to the prevailing wind. Favor the left side of the fairway for the best approach to the green. Three bunkers protect this green that slopes back left to front right.

Distances: 379 / 366 / 350 / 257 

Hole 16

This medium length par 3 requires a tee shot across the Holston River. There is a stream that runs along the right side of this green that slopes back right to front left.

Distances: 173 / 159 / 147 / 117 1 

Hole 17

This medium length par 5 typically plays downwind and is reachable in two for the long hitters. There is out of bounds along the right side of the hole. The last 130 yards of the hole plays downhill to a green that sits on an angle and slopes from back right to front left. The green is protected in the back by a bunker and the Holston River.

Hole 18

 

Hole #18

This is an uphill par 4 that doglegs to the left. Favor the left side of the fairway for your approach shot to the green. Three bunkers protect this green that slopes back right to front left.

Distances: 417 / 401 / 339 / 335
